    • A training course about the Market Outlook improvement and Shock Impact Simulation Model development was conducted from 10-14th November 2014 at SUPARCO Islamabad. [link]
    • The Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) established a PARC Technologies Display Centre at National Agriculture Research Center (NARC), with an aim to give common people access to the edible commodities produced after hectic research works by the scientists of the council. [link]
    • The Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR) presented a draft policy for Pakistan's Seed Industry on 13 November, 2014, at a workshop organized with support from FAO. [link]
    • A training course about the Geospatial systems (GLAM Pakistan, Crop Portal, AFSS and MAGIS) was conducted by SUPARCO for CRS Sindh and Sindh Agriculture University staff from 8-12th December 2014 at Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam. [link]

    • SUPARCO has conducted field data collection and opinion survey campaign for Potato crop in the month of December 2013 to assess the crops situation and seek farmer's opinion about the crop. The crops estimates were published in the news bulletins of the month of January 2014.
    • SUPARCO has started the project for creating specific major crops mask for the whole country.
    • CRS Punjab/Sindh has carried out Rabi crops survey as per following schedule.

    • SUPARCO field survey campaigns for wheat 2013-14 in Punjab and Sindh is completed and crops statistics generation is in progress.
    • A training course was arranged from 20-31th January at SUPARCO Islamabad, Pakistan to give an overview of the Crop Information Portal, its graphical interface with hands on practice on data extraction, charting and mapping.
    • SUPARCO in collaboration with FAO is planning to publish an Atlas based on land cover of Punjab and Sindh province.
    • SUPARCO compiled a detailed report on Pakistan Floods / Rains 2013. The report highlights the efforts made by SUPARCO in collaboration with FAO, in flood monitoring and mitigation programs. The report provides flood extent maps and identifies damages to agriculture crops.
    • AgMIP (Agricultural model intercomparison and improvement project) "Finish Line" Workshop by the Regional Research Teams was held in Arusha, Tanzania from 29th January to 4th February 2014.
    • International training and workshop on "Safe Connected Communities against Floods through RS and GIS tools" was held from 10-13 March 2014 at Islamabad.
    • The USDA, under U.S. - Pakistan Wheat Productivity Enhancement Project (WPEP) handed over wheat sowing planters to various research institutions and universities that would replace the traditional hand-sowing crop systems and antiquated machinery, currently utilized in Pakistan. [link]
    • Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) has developed Canola Hybrid with good yield potential and produced hybrid seed on pilot scale. [link]
