This project is supporting the development of three curricula and e-learning materials on geospatial technologies for agriculture statistics, monitoring and environment impact assessment. FAO and the University of Bologna, Italy have signed a letter of agreement to define and develop the content. Read more

FAO and SUPARCO are testing in a pilot area of Pakistan the FAO's ECONET approach in monitoring land cover change. The ECONET approach builds upon a systematic sampling of the area of interest in alternative to the traditional "wall-to-wall" mapping, to reduce time and costs of monitoring. Read more

This publication provides a comprehensive description of the biotic and abiotic resources by province. The atlas is illustrated with information in aggregated and cartographic form as well as tabular statistics. The Atlas of KP and FATA is the third publication of a series including Punjab and Sindh.

SUPARCO, in partnership with FAO and USDA, is finalizing two publications on provincial (Sindh and Punjab) crop masks for Rabi (wheat and potato) and Kharif (sugarcane, cotton and rice) crops. High resolution multi-date satellite imagery integrated by field survey were used (Read more).
